Food and funds collected across all schools in the College Station Independent School District. All donations benefit the Brazos Valley Food Bank.
April 10 – May 8 / Wal-Mart Fight Hunger. Spark Change.
For the past 10 years, Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club have been hosting their Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign which supports Feeding America network of 200 local food banks (including BVFB). Customers are invited to help fight hunger in their community by donating at the register or purchasing participating items in stores and online. The campaign runs from April 10 – May 8 at all Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores in the U.S.
May 13, 2023 / Stamp Out Hunger
The National Association of Letter Carriers annual food collection drive. On the second Saturday of May, set out your non-perishable food well before your letter carrier’s normal pick-up time. To ensure that your letter carrier is participating, call your local post office and ask to speak to your local food drive person. The Brazos Valley Food Bank may or may not be the recipient of your donation (another anti-hunger program may be the designee).
June 2024 / KBTX-TV's Summer Hunger Food Drive
When school lets out for the summer, many children in the area face not knowing where their next meal is coming from. KBTX and the Brazos Valley Food Bank are partnering up to battle food insecurity every Thursday in June.
31st Annual Feast Of Caring
Wednesday, August 7th 11am - 1pm at the Brazos Center
Feast of Caring is a buffet style, come-and-go luncheon featuring a free meal while encouraging donations to the Brazos Valley Food Bank. This modest event symbolizes a uniting principle - no child, individual, family or senior should ever go hungry.
A delicious meal of rice, beans, sausage, salad, bread and cake/ice cream will be served buffet style with picnic seating. Come for lunch, but stay for the Celebrity Servers! Your meal is served to you by local celebrities who are volunteering their time for you!
The success of this event depends on friends like you, ensuring that donations collected before and at the event go towards making the Brazos Valley Hunger Free.
September 13 - October 24 / HEB Help End Hunger
When you go grocery shopping at your local H-E-B, you can help families when they need it most. Help End Hunger alongside H-E-B and Central Market when you make a donation to the Brazos Valley Food Bank at the register from September 13- October 24. Look for the tear pad at checkout and donate $1, $3 or $5 at the register. Together we can help fight hunger.
Thanks to legislation that created the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) in 1993, employees of state agencies, junior and community colleges, and universities throughout Texas enjoy the benefit of giving to many of their favorite charities through an annual workplace giving campaign which features the convenience of payroll deduction. The campaign takes place from September 1 - October 31.

October 17 / Brazos Valley Gives Day
18-hours of online giving that brings the region together on one day and as one community to raise critical funding and awareness for nonprofit organizations throughout the Brazos Valley. Powered by the Community Foundation, Brazos Valley Gives provides citizens and businesses with an easy platform to support the mission and good works of local nonprofit organizations that serve the Brazos Valley. (early giving begins September 18)
October 2023 / Wicked Woods
Hosted by TAMU Kappa Sigma Fraternity every October, this haunted trail located in College Station is a scary good time! Come out with the family to walk through these spooky woods and get a visit from all sorts of monsters and ghosts hiding in the shadows! Various nights throughout the month and on Halloween. Funds collected from ticket sales will be split evenly between the Brazos Valley Food Bank and Kappa Sigma's Military Heroes Campaign. Discounted ticket prizes are given to guests who bring canned goods. Specific dates for 2023 coming soon.
October 19th - November 19th, 2023 / Aggies CAN
Annually Texas A&M University's Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) organizes Aggies CAN, the largest student-athlete run canned food drive in the nation with over 200 student-athletes participating last year. Aggies CAN coordinates food drives with several campus sporting events, culminating in the main event-- a food and fund drive on campus and on the fan zone right before a fall, home football game at Kyle Field every November. Proceeds benefit the Brazos Valley Food Bank and the 12th Can.
October - November 2023 / Empty Bowls
Empty Bowls is a grassroots effort by artists and craftspeople in cities and towns across the country to feed the hungry in their communities. Professional and amateur artists donate ceramic bowls for purchase at two annual Empty Bowl events in the Brazos Valley; Bryan (Sunday, November 12th) and Brenham (usually in October). These beautiful bowls are then purchased and filled with delicious soups from local restaurants to be enjoyed on-site or at home! All proceeds benefit the Brazos Valley Food Bank.
October - November 2023 / Combined Federal Campaign
The Combined Federal Campaign(CFC) is an annual fundraising drive that provides an opportunity for Federal civilian, Postal, and Military employees to donate to non-profit organizations.
The Brazos Valley Food Bank is associated with the CFC of the Gulf Coast. The campaign runs from October through December each year.
The Brazos Valley Food Bank’s CFC # is 24637.
November - December 2023 / Cocoa for a Cause
Visit Santa's Wonderland in College Station and purchase a delicious cup of cocoa to support Brazos Valley Food Bank through their Cocoa for a Cause Fundraiser. All proceeds from hot cocoa sales on our specific night benefit BVFB and our fight against hunger in the Brazos Valley. Specific dates for 2023 coming soon.
December 2023 / KBTX-TV's Food For Families Food Drive
The holidays are a time when family and friends come together to celebrate, but for some families it’s a time that highlights their needs. Specific date for 2023 coming soon. You can donate to Brazos Valley Food Bank and our 36 partner agencies online or at the following drop sites:
- Son-Shine Outreach Center in Madisonville
- Pridgeon Community Center in Franklin
- Hearne Railroad Museum Depot in Hearne
- St. Mary’s, Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Hall in Caldwell
- MidSouth Electric Co-op Operations Facility in Navasota.
- Washington County Expo in Brenham
