Celine Invests Her Time Fighting Hunger

Teresa receives healthy food through BVFB’s Project GotEm.

For Celine, a recent Texas A&M graduate, it seems fighting hunger in her local community has become a part of who she is.

“I actually volunteered at a food bank before, but it wasn’t in the states — it was abroad,” Celine explains. “I used to work there for the past seven years.”

In February, Celine learned about the Brazos Valley Food Bank (BVFB) through a friend.

“Once I found out [about BVFB], I started volunteering,” Celine explains.

Ever since, she has been generously investing her time and energy into supporting her neighbors who are facing hunger.

“It’s really nice to be able to help the community. That’s the most important part of it,” Celine says. “It’s also a really good way to ...do something that [is] useful and impactful at the same time...It’s actually really fun.”

We are so grateful for volunteers like Celine for helping create a hunger-free community. We couldn’t do this vital work without all our wonderful volunteers.
