Rosalia and a Community of Kindness

Teresa receives healthy food through BVFB’s Project GotEm.

The Brazos Valley Food Bank (BVFB) and its partners provide support during challenging times for families like Rosalia’s, who have experienced the grief of losing a husband and father.

Rosalia works hard to hold her family together. Leaning on community resources like the BVFB Fresh Food Drop, hosted by Friends Church UCC and Peace Lutheran Church, has been a stabilizing force for Rosalia as she navigates parenting her kids on her own.

“Groceries are expensive right now,” Rosalia explains. “This food helps for support in the house.”

Rosalia has been met with kindness whenever she visits the Fresh Food Drop to pick up fresh produce.

“[The program] shares...what the community needs. Service is excellent. The people are excellent people, very kind,” Rosalia says. “I am very grateful.”

Your partnership helps provide a lifeline for many families like Rosalia’s, helping ensure our neighbors have somewhere to turn for hope and support during challenging times.
