Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
SNAP is an income based program that helps you buy food for good health.
Assistance is offered face to face and in some cases home visits; includes making copies of supporting documents and using the HHSC website YourTexasBenefits.com. This is conducted in six out of seven counties in the Brazos Valley.

TANF is help for families with children who are 18 and younger who don't have or get much money. It helps pay for basic needs such as: Clothing, Food, and Housing costs.
Monthly TANF payments are based on family size and income (the amount of money from jobs and other sources). Families who get TANF must follow program rules to in order to maintain eligibility.
Cover visits to doctors, dentists, and hospitals. They also cover medicines ordered by doctors and dentists.

Provides family planning services and annual exams at no cost to eligible, low-income women.
You may get services if you are a woman, age 15 to 44 years old, you don't have health insurance and you have low income. You also must be a Texas resident and a U.S. citizen or a legal resident. Women who are not pregnant can get services through the Healthy Texas Women Program.
