Retail Pick-up

The Brazos Valley Food Bank proudly participates in Feeding America’s Retail Pick Up Program, a program developed to help reduce the amount of salvageable food ending up in the nation’s landfills.  The Brazos Valley Food Bank, operating under strict guidelines, works with local retailers H-E-B, Kroger, Target, Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club to pick up food that is safely transported in refrigerated trucks utilizing proper food safety handling procedures, then carefully processed and distributed to partner agencies.
