Benefits Assistance Program

The Benefits Assistance Program team help's people facing hunger apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) benefits such as Medicaid, TANF, SNAP-CAP, CHIP, CHIP-Perinatal, Medicare Savings Program, and the Healthy Texas Women Program.

From July 1, 2021- June 30, 2022 503 individuals were assisted with various HHSC programs and were referred to many community based services.

Benefits Assistance Program Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

Our Referral Partner program can connect you with community organizations that can help you pay for services such as: rent, utilities, transportation, childcare, and many more.
