Brazos Valley Food Bank’s Nutrition Education Program offers nutrition and cooking classes to low-income community members by partnering with organizations and agencies serving the food insecure in our community.
Health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease are becoming increasingly common. However, many of these nutrition-related diseases can be completely prevented through nutrition education. Balanced nutrition along with regular exercise is one of the most powerful ways to positively impact your health.
Our Nutrition Education program is designed to empower people of all ages to become enthusiastic health advocates for their families and communities!

We focus on application of the Dietary Guidelines and MyPlate to make healthy eating choices, tailored to fit any audience. Our classes aim to equip any participant with the information and skills they need to live a healthy lifestyle. We discuss disease prevention and work with participants to find solutions to challenges they face when trying to eat healthy.
